Carpentry work and trade coordination
A renovation can involve demolition, framing, drywall, flooring, trim and storage, as well as work by other trades. We identify how these pieces fit together and agree on who is responsible for each part. Where plumbing, electrical or other specialist work is needed, those responsibilities and costs are defined for the project.
Written estimates and changes
The estimate sets out the included work, materials arrangements, payment stages and project assumptions. Existing homes can reveal concealed damage after removal begins. If the work needs to change, we explain what was found and discuss the additional scope before proceeding.
Planning around your property
Access, material delivery, storage, cleanup and the order of work all affect how a project runs. Let us know if the home will remain occupied, whether there are restricted access areas and if you have other contractors scheduled. These details help us organize a practical plan.
Do I need a general contractor or a carpenter?+
A focused carpentry job may need only a defined repair or installation scope. Projects involving several stages or trades can benefit from coordination. Describe the whole project so we can discuss which arrangement fits.
Is Chosen Builders insured?+
Chosen Builders carries business insurance. Ask for current proof of insurance when discussing your project.
Can you work alongside a contractor I already have?+
We can consider a separate carpentry scope within a larger project. Access, timing and responsibility for related work need to be agreed before scheduling.
Do you serve Digby and Shelburne as well as Yarmouth?+
Yes. We consider projects throughout the three counties, with availability based on location, project size and schedule.
