Gutter repairs and drainage improvements
Loose, leaking, overflowing or poorly directed gutters can contribute to staining and water problems around a home. We identify the sections included in the estimate and discuss practical improvements, while noting that hidden roof, foundation or drainage conditions require separate assessment.
Options for older wood details
An older cornice may be made from several layers of wood. Where a matching profile is impractical, a simpler flat-board repair can be discussed. The appearance, replacement area and finish should be agreed before cutting or removing sound material.
What helps us quote accurately
Send ground-level photos showing each roofline, the number of storeys and any visible damage. Describe overflowing gutters, loose sections or areas where paint keeps peeling. Access, height and the amount of repair affect the scope; a close inspection may reveal conditions that are not visible from the ground.
Can you repair one corner instead of replacing the whole roofline?+
A targeted repair may be possible when the adjacent wood and support are sound. We assess the damaged area before recommending the replacement scope.
Are gutters and eavestroughs the same thing?+
Yes. Both terms describe the channels along the roof edge that collect rainwater and direct it into downspouts.
Can you install downspouts too?+
Yes. Downspouts, elbows and outlets can be included with new eavestrough installation or agreed gutter repairs. The discharge point is reviewed as part of the layout.
Can gutters be coordinated with new siding?+
Yes. Where siding work affects downspout attachment or wall access, removal and reinstallation can be sequenced with the siding scope.
Is painting included?+
Preparation, primer and finish painting can be included where agreed. The estimate specifies which surfaces are being repaired and finished.
Does this include replacing the roof?+
Roof replacement is separate from roofline carpentry and gutter work. Any related roofing requirements are discussed when the project is assessed.
